How to get to Cabin Johanna

By Car

Cabin Johanna is located about 80km south of Berlin.

The drive takes approximately 1:20h from Berlin city center.

By Public Transport

From Berlin Hauptbahnhof, you can reach Cabin Johanna in around 2:00h. From the final station, it’s a 700m journey to the cabin, which can be covered:

on foot (approx. 10 min)
by bike (approx. 5 min)
via local taxi (please organize and book in advance)

Special Tip:

Take the train to Jüterbog, Baruth, or Luckenwalde and cycle from there along the beautiful Fläming-Skate trail.

How and when do I check out?

Check-out is by 11:00 h.

Also, depending on the next guest's arrival, we may be able to offer you a late check-out. So please do not hesitate to ask and we’ll see what we can do for you on the day.

Can I drink the tap water in the cabin?

We use fresh tap water to fill our Offgrid cabins. For additional safety we re-filter this water again by using a triple water filter caravan system before it comes out of the kitchen/bathroom tap and shower. We personally drink our filtered cabin water and use it for tea, coffee cooking our pasta etc. If you are sensitive to this off-the-grid water system however, please feel free to bring your own water just in case.

Food, drinks and cooking - What do I need to bring?

In each cabin you’ll find Italian herbs, sea salt, coffee, tea, olive oil and vinegar. Food however we kindly ask you to bring what you prefer and feel like and what your personal diet craves. Shopping ingredients and cooking together is a great way to decompress - so let it be part of your Offgrid experience.
Our founder Björn is a passionate hobby chef, he made sure that you’ll find a perfectly equipped kitchen (including proper kitchen knives) in each of our cabins. Happy cooking. :)
